Engine Service Short Block Kits

For all you engine enthusiasts, hobbyist or repair shop personnel out there we have an engine cost saving program designed just for you. This program puts you in the drivers’ seat as to assembling your own engine project. We do all the machine work, set you up with the basic block kit parts and you are ready to go. We support this program with competitive prices on additional parts and accessories as well as any cylinder head work that needs to be done. We also offer technical assistance, engine tool rentals and our many years of engine building experience. We also dole out tons of free advice.

Our short block kits are sold exchange for a like for like engine block and come completely machined with matching components ready for assembly. We offer additional services whenever requested.

What You Get

• A cleaned block, magnafluxed for cracks, all galley, soft plugs and camshaft bearings removed, mainline checked or honed to specifications, Cylinders bored and finished honed, deck checked for straightness and or resurfaced, all bolt holes cleaned and tapped. Re-cleaned after machine work.
• A crankshaft cleaned, magnafluxed, ground and polished to size.
• Connecting rods cleaned, inspected and resized.
• New pistons installed on rods and aligned.
• Engine block kit with new pistons, rings, and gasket set, main and rod bearings, new oil pump. On push rod engines a reground camshaft, lifters, cam bearings, and timing set. On OHC engines a new timing belt.*
• On push rod engines kits we will install your cam bearings and/or soft plugs at no additional charge.

These days, upgrades are what its all about. We have a variety of upgrades depending on your needs.

Upgrades can include, but are not limited to:

• Engine Balancing, high volume oil pumps, specialty pistons, rings, timing components, camshafts, and specialty fasteners. We stock harmonic balancers, flex plates, and SPS new rod bolts as well.
• Upgrade to a Marine Engine Short block with our Marine Engine Kits.
